tell me that you love me and it'll be alright
« Thread Started on Dec 21, 2008, 1:03am »

It was so strange how Zander did the most random things. I mean, Noelle knew he had a heart of gold, but sometimes the things he did didn't really make sense to Noelle. Like how he would wash whites with darks, and how he'd cook food in totally inconvenient ways. He seemed almost helpless without her, and she absolutely adored helping him. She had decided that any amount of time spent without the guy was absolute hell, and although it made her seem clingy, she didn't fucking care. Her parents were really happy that they were back together, just because Zander made her so ridiculously happy, and they had a feeling that they'd end up together forever. Or at least, she was hoping that would happen. She never knew at this point. But anyway, there was no way that she would ever leave him agan; she was there to stay.

Anyway, Zander had woken her up pretty damn early that morning, and she actually had to get out of bed and get some underwear on so she could at least make breakfast. It was so funny how when they were at home, they barely ever wore clothing. It was either complete nudity, robes, or underwear. Not that they minded or anything, because they were in love and they were the only ones in the damn apartment. They two were basically attached at the hip, and she was pretty sure that they were so clingy because they were both insecure; they were both afraid that they'd come home, and the other would be gone.

After breakfast, Noelle and Zander sat outside so they could cuddle and drink some coffee. Apparently he was taking her for a picnic, and the location was a surprise or something like that. Well, whatever.
Of course, she took a shower, and got herself all prettied up, so she was wearing a pale pink strapless dress (that was a bit on the short side), her typical grey jacket, and a pair of black heels. It made her look ridiculously petite and feminine, and she just loved dressing up for Zander. No one else got that kind of treatment.

Anyway, they were int he car, and she had no clue on where they were going. She kept asking him where they were going, but obviously, he wasn't willing to answer that question. Eventually, they turned into an absolutely gorgeous neighborhood, and then into a driveway, which was in front of probably the most amazing house she had ever laid eyes on. Her nose wrinkled up, and she looked over at Zander, only to give the hand she was holding a squeeze. "This isn't the park or the beach... Why are we having a picnic here?" And without waiting for an answer, she got out of the car and looked up at the house. This had to be a dream.

Zander had been planning this day for a very long time. He was so nervous too, and anyone who knew Zander knew that he wasn't exactly a high strung guy. But he wanted everything to be perfect. Was that too much to ask? With him, a lot went wrong with most of his plans, so he had planned around every single little mishap that could happen, even a damn earthquake. Today was the day...
When they woke up, earlier than usual, he felt a little bad kicking his angel out of bed. None the less, she hadn't complained, and she had made breakfast for him, which he had been willing to make. She probably knew very well that if he had made anything to eat it would most likely have been something simple; like toast, and it still would have tasted pretty weird. Thank god she loved him for who he was.

Zander waited for her to finish in the shower, before getting in himself. Things were perfect like this, because Zander took ages in the shower, and Noelle took ages getting dressed. It just worked out. He loved the way she would always make herself look like a supermodel for him. He knew that if Noelle dressed up in a plastic bag with absolutely no make up on, she'd still be the most beautiful woman in the world. Nobody could hold a candle to his Noelle.
Zander on the other hand, never had good dress sense, but he tried to pick out something that he thought would look good. He pulled on a white wife beater, and some black jeans that weren't too tight. Topping it off with his old bikers jacket, which he knew he be taking off soon, since it was simply too hot. Of course, the checkered vans came with him. That was a given. He never wore any other shoes.

Needless to say, he was pretty excited about today. He had a lot planned, and if everything went well, he would hopefully make his angel happy. On the way to the house, she asked him about where they were going a few times, but he just smiled and prattled on about other subjects. He wasn't going to tell her... She could wait for that surprise. And it wasn't long until they pulled into the driveway. He opened her door for her, and held her hand as they began walking to the back of the house.
"Well I thought it was time for a change. Nobody lives here, and the back garden is pretty awesome." He grinned, squeezing her hand back. Hopefully she just took this as one of his insanely random things that he did.
He opened the small gate that matched the white picket fencing, and closed it behind her, leading her around the side of the house and into the back garden. The slow trickle of the water feature in the swimming pool was a calming background noise. He really liked the way they had built the pool to make it look perfectly natural, with big rocks lining the outskirts, and a small 'waterfall' like thing that cascaded down into the depths. There was a weeping willow just beside the pool, and a few more that stretched around the perimeter of the perfectly kept grassy area. Behind the cute little flower border, there was a dense forest area. He couldn't see anything beyond that, but when he had first come to see the house, he had seen a deer grazing right here on the lawn. When he had made a noise, it had disappeared back into the trees.
On turning in the opposite direction, you could see the rear side of the house, with a quaint little patio that was covered by the floor of the second story. Graceful creepers made their way up the stone walls, giving the house a softer feeling. He hoped Noelle would love it as much as he did.

With another boyish grin, he let her look around some more, while he laid out a blanket for them to sit on. He started unpacking the basket that he had gotten a woman in the store to pack for him. Once the bubbly was popped, he poured some into two crystal glasses, which had cost him an arm and a leg. But everything was worth it. He just hoped that the fact that he had bough completely new cutlery and plates wouldn't make her suspicious. The plates were square, which he thought was a bit odd, but the store lady had insisted that his woman would love it. And since she was probably one hundred and five years old, he had agreed. He didn't want to go against her 'wise' judgment.

He handed Noelle her glass of champagne, giving her a tender peck on the lips. He sat down on, providing space only in front of him for her to sit, and not beside him. He had to be looking at her dead on for this one.
"I haven't treated you out in so long, so I thought what better time than the present?" For some reason he couldn't stop smiling, and he hoped it wasn't giving him away. That was the last thing he needed. And if she did find something suspicious, hopefully she was keeping it to herself, so that she didn't burst his little bubble.

Noelle still didn't understand what was going on, and that probably made her the biggest idiot in the entire world. I mean, she always went out for picnics with Zander, but whatever. Maybe he just had more romantic tastes now that they were back together. But then again, he had a ton of money, so he was able to pay for more luxuries; he actually could pay for things. Not that she was really a materialistic girl... She didn't need those things to make her happy. As long as she had Zander, she was content. He was the only thing she ever really thought about, and he had her wrapped around his finger. It was so nice having someone to take care of besides herself... it made her feel wanted; it made her feel needed. Zander was the love of her life, and she was determined to take care of him for the rest of her life.

It was almost as if they were stuck in their honeymoon phase; as if they'd never be able to get enough of each other. And honestly, it was true. When he would go to the store or something, she'd always text him and tell him how much she missed him, and when he'd get back to the apartment, she'd practically jump on him and attack him with kisses.
Sometimes, at night, when she was unable to sleep, she'd just lay there and watch him; just admire how adorable he was. And then she'd get up, write him a cute little love note, and leave it by his pillow for him to read when he woke up, while she was peacefully sleeping.

The house was beautiful, there was no doubt about it. It was everything she had described she wanted: a white picket fence, a beautiful pool, a large yard, and a nice patio. It was her dream house, no doubt about it. Too bad it wasn't theirs. "Babe," She cooed, hand placed on his lower back. "Isn't there a law against this? Trespassing?" Her nose was wrinkled up and she looked around, before kicking her heels off so her toes could feel the lush, green grass. Sure, he gave her time to look around and everything, but she didn't. She just kind of watched Zander in awe. He was just so perfect for her. He was made to be with her.

Finally, the blanket was down, and she smiled when he kissed her. "I love you," The petite girl whispered against his lips, her eyes fluttering open. "So much." With that said, she took a seat on the blanket, and tilted her head to the side. "To us?" Her glass was clinked against his, and she took a small sip of it, only to place it down in the grass next to the towel. And of course, since she couldn't stand being too far away from him, she scooched closer until she was so close that with another inch, she'd pretty much be in his lap.

She couldn't deny the fact that this was absolutely amazing; he had obviously put a ton of time and thought into it. And to say the least, she was impressed. "So. What's the occasion? I mean, there has to be something. Our anniversary isn't for another two months, sweetie."

Zander was pleased to see her admiring the house like he had the first time he'd seen it. He had gone through so much trouble to get this house, he'd been through at least six estate agents, and even Noelle knew he hated real estate agents, just like he hated clowns and girl scouts. But anyway, the point was that he had found the house, and he had signed the contract straight away. He didn't want anyone else to even look at the house until he owned it. The place would put a serious dent in his savings account, but with his CD's still in the music track, he'd earn the money back in near to no time. He just wanted Noelle and himself to be happy, he wanted everything to be perfect for her. She deserved the very best.

He chuckled as she mentioned the word trespassing. It was almost like a small joke to him. But he had to play along with himself. "It's not trespassing." He winked at her. "As long as nobody finds out babe." He flashed her a grin, rubbing her arm lightly. Zander loved the fact that Noelle was always so soft to the touch. Her skin was like silk. He could stroke her all day if he had the chance. Even at night, he'd fall asleep with his hand on her shoulder, her cheek, absently touching her with his fingers. It had become a habit to him, and he didn't see that habit going anywhere in the near future.

"I love you too baby." He grinned. Every single time he said that it felt like a jolt of electricity was flowing through him. That saying would never grow old for Zander, as long as it was said to Noelle. Otherwise, the words were meaningless and empty. "Always." And it was true. He couldn't imagine himself with anyone other than Noelle. She was his soulmate and he knew it with every fiber of his being. He trusted her with his life. He would give anything for that woman, even his own life if he had to. There was nothing that he wouldn't do for her. Buying this house for her was a tiny deed compared to the things he was willing to sacrifice for Noelle. And every time he looked at her he was reminded of that fact.

Occasion. Shit. He smiled at her while he thought of something to say. With a childlike smile he took her hand and kissed her palm. "Do I need an occasion to spoil the love of my life?" He turned her hand over in his and kissed the back softly. "Being around you makes me happy enough to celebrate every single day."
He actually wasn't lying. He just wasn't telling her the whole story. But that was a surprise for later. First he was going to pull out all the good food that the old bat had packed for them. Perhaps she'd be impressed.
He started unpacking. Glad that the store woman had packed everything neatly so that nothing was squashed or broken. He put the platters out, taking the thin wrappings off as he went. There was everything from cold meats to caviar. He didn't even eat caviar. There was no way that they would finish everything, but hey, at least they'd have leftovers for a while.

Zander had always been a rebellious guy, while Noelle had always followed the rules. They were complete opposites. But of course, opposites always did attract, and Noelle and Zander were like those annoying magnets that you couldn't pull apart. Nothing could ever bring them apart from each other. There was absolutely no doubt about it. Their feelings were so strong, that they could only let their emotions out in physical ways. Which was probably why they almost never left their apartment and why they only did a load of laundry once every other week. Clothes were optional in their household, and Noelle liked that. Of course, they occasionally got complaints from their neighbors, and they'd briefly quiet it down until they'd get distracted.

An eyebrow was raised, and Noelle rolled her eyes playfully. "You're bad, y'know that? If we get in trouble, it's your fault." However, either way, she leaned in and kissed him, just to show him that she was kidding. There was no way she could ever get mad at her boy; he was just too perfect. Okay, so maybe the kiss was a bit too passionate to be something innocent, but she really, really appreciated what he was doing for her. It was obvious he had put in a lot of time and thought. After pulling away, she placed a hand on his cheek and wiped her lip gloss off of his mouth, although she leaned in and pecked him once more. She really needed to stop, before the clothes went flying all over the place.

It was so nice how he'd find a way to be touching some sort of her exposed skin when they fell asleep at night. She knew that he loved how soft it was, so she always made sure she had at least some skin showing. But for both of their security, they had to be touching in some way when they fell asleep, which kind of put the huge king sized bed to waste. She didn't even know why she couldn't just move in with him; she hadn't been to her apartment in weeks.

Her eyes scanned the food, and she tilted her head. "Oh my. That's a lot of food." Instead of going for real food, she reached out and took a chocolate covered strawberry, then took a bite, her eyes widening "These are so good, baby. You have to try it." And as she took another bite, she grabbed another, and held it up to Zander's lips. God, she was so tempted to kiss him again. But she didn't want to be bad or anything; she wanted to save that for afterwards, at least. But still. She was realizing, once again, how much she loved this young man. "So. I've decided that I want to be with you forever."

Zander laughed lightly as she mentioned that fact that he was 'bad'. He thought it was so cute when she said stuff like that. "My fault." He agreed with a nod, "But don't you worry your pretty face, we're not going to get caught." Again, he smiled at the inside joke in that. She had no idea that they were sitting in their garden. Just outside their house. He was nearly brimming over the top with satisfaction. She really seemed to like this place, and that was all that he had wanted. He couldn't even begin to describe how stupid and dissapointed he'd be if she hadn't liked it. Zander knew it was a risk; buying the house without her even looking at it. But it seemed to it that this house had 'NOELLE' written all over it. She would probably love giving the warm interior her private touch. To be honest, he couldn't wait to move into the place with her. He imagined them late at night in the pool when it got too hot. Zander had always wanted a pool... That was just a bonus for him.

Finally, once he had unpacked the huge basket, he sighed in content as she took one of the strawberry things that looked pretty sweet. He wasn't a fan of sweet things, but if it had chocolate on it, he would eat it. Hell. You could probably cover a fly in belgium chocolate and he'd eat the thing. "Glad you like it." In his head he was thanking the old lady, especially as he ate the treat from her hand. It was really good. He'd deffinately be buying more of those soon. He leant a forward a bit, intending to kiss her. But after a brief second of his own confusion. He sat back and took both her hands in his. He couldn't wait any longer. It was now or never.

Clearing his throat, Zander put on a very serious expression. He looked into her eyes, and there wasn't a hint of a smile on his face. He had been working on this for ages, since it was so difficult to look at Noelle and not smile.
"Noelle." He paused. He had to get just the right amount of suspence. "I have something I need to tell you." He dropped his gaze for a few seconds and then diverted back to her. He needed her to think that he was nervous or something. He didn't like playing tricks on Noelle, but he felt the need to do so, just so that he might get a better reaction when she figured out that nothing was going wrong.
"I lied to you." He swallowed again, shooting his eyes away from her and back. "I'm sorry." He tried to square his shoulders as best as he could. He could feel his cheeks burning as he fought back the smile. This was proving much harder than he had thought.

"I've been keeping money aside. In a savings account you don't know about." He felt a little like a double agent. Noelle knew everything about his finaces. "I had to hide it from you..." He released her hands and covered his face with his own as he hung his head. Behind his hands he was grinning. He clearly wasn't good at this. He bit his lip. He was going to start laughing. He had just realised how stupid he sounded. In a last desperate attempt he flung one hand out and pointed at the house. When he lifted his head he was smirking like a retard. "I bought you this house!" He couldn't sidestep the fact anymore. He felt like saying something like 'sorry I had to try that', but something held him back. He noticed his heartrate going up. And he felt a little cold. Ah. This was a feeling Zander wasn't used to. He was geniunely nervous now.

Slowly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box. She was probably grumpy now because of his little trick stunt. Hopefully this would cheer her up. "I want to spend forever with you too, Noelle." His voice was steadily growing softer."And I am so sure of that... I wanted..." God he was tripping on words. He shook his head. Taking one of her hands again. He held out the box as he manoevered himself onto one knee. He popped it open with his thumb, hoping and praying that she would like the ring that he had picked out. "Miss Frangos. Will you do me the honor?"
He had never been so afraid in his life.

"You better be right, Zander." Noelle had always been that good girl; the one that never even thought about breaking the rules. In the way, she had a serious amount of innocence, even though she was rather... experienced in other ways. She was anything but a saint, that was for sure. But for whatever, reason, she trusted Zander; she knew he would never do anything where he knew he'd get into trouble. And honestly, she loved that; she loved the fact that she knew she would always be safe when she was with him.

Oh god. He was keeping something from her. Her heart absolutely sank and her face paled. Was he cheating on her or something? I mean, she didn't really know when he would have time to, seeing how they were always together, but still. What could've been so important for him to tell her? Maybe this entire date was something to show that he was sorry; maybe he was using this because he was feeling guilty. Yeah, that was it. Something was wrong, and she didn't know what she was going to do when he told her; she was kind of expecting the worst.
Of course, she knew everything about his money, and he knew everything about hers. They talked about it quite a bit, and she always felt guilty since he'd be the one raking in most of the cash from his music. So when he told her he had done something with his money and didn't tell her, she scowled, and raked a hand through her hair. It wasn't that big of a deal, but she still hated it when Zander kept things from her.

However, everything felt better when he told her he had bought it. Oh thank god! So they weren't really trespassing! And it was a much better confession than she thought. Instantly, her gaze shifted to the large house, and her jaw dropped. "Zander... I-I don't know what to say... Wow..." Psh. It wouldn't be a Noelle reaction without a few squeals and kisses thrown in, and those two things happened. Now it was time to get serious. For some reason, he looked nervous. Her lower lip curled into a pout, and she reached out so she could stroke his cheek with her fingertips. "You okay?"

But of course, the surprises kept coming. She about fainted when he got on one knee, and since she was sitting him, she stared up at him with wide, glossy eyes. "Oh-oh my god..." She gave his hand a tight squeeze, then she moved so she was sitting on his leg so they could be lip eye level. "Yes. Yes, Zander. I'll marry you. Oh my god..." With that said, she threw her arms around him, and kind of just cried into his neck for a couple of minutes, her whole entire body trembling. She couldn't believe that she was getting married to the man of her dreams and the love of her life; it all seemed so... surreal. I mean, she had been imagining this day for ages, but she had never exactly expected it to show up. Moments like this only really existed in romance novels, but maybe that's what their relationship was: an amazing, romantic love story with a happy ending. Sure, they'd been through a lot of shit, but she suddenly realized it was all worth it in the end; what happened made their love stronger.

After pulling her face away from him, she kind of just gazed into those pretty eyes of his, before pressing her lips against his. It was a rather passionate and needy kiss, with tongue and all that jazz added. As if she was hinting at what she wanted to do next, she allowed her hand to slide up the front of his shirt. "Can-can we go inside? Please?"

Zander hadn't quite known relief until now. She had said yes. She had said YES. He was engaged to the love of his life. For a while, while she was holding onto him, he tried to find a moment in his life when he had been happier. There, of course, was no such moment that could match up to this one. It felt like a surreal dream, it felt like he was going to wake up any second now. He squeazed her gently, rubbing her arms a little until she was done crying. Heck, he felt like crying too. But he swore he had literally cried all his tears when she had left. Zander didn't think he had any tears left. But if he did, he'd probably be shedding them right now, even though all he could do was smile as he slipped the ring onto her finger. It suited her, but then again, anything suited Noelle.

"Sure we can..." He stood and helped her up, dusting them both off without reason. He fumbled in his other pocket for a bit before he found the keys. It took a while to find the right one that actually fitted into the backdoor, but he found it in the end, and he swung the door open, making a grand gesture for her to go inside. He moved the thin curtains out of her way and waited until she had passed him to go in after her.
"You do know you are going to have to explore a little bit first..." He chuckled. He had a feeling she was going to ask him where the bedroom was. But there were so many other rooms as well. He glanced at the stairs. Everything looked a little dull, since he had only put an ample amount of furniture in. There were no paintings or decorations yet. He would leave that to Noelle. And something that surprised him was that he was actually looking forwards to shopping with her for the household goods. He wasn't the best person to take on a shopping trip, but he enjoyed going with none the less. His input was somewhat cautious, yet he seemed to be getting the hang of it.

With a gentle click he closed the door behind them, admiring the woodwork for a second, and then glancing at the nearest object. The couch. He didn't really like it that much, but hell was it comfortable. And the couch salesman guy had convinced him into buying the thing because of that. God he hated salesmen. He didn't stand a chance against their cunning ways of being able to sell him a broken eggshell. He was glad he didn't stay too long, because he'd probably end up buying too many couches. That was why he usually took Noelle with him. There was a big difference between the two. She knew how to say NO. Zander was just hopeless with that word.

He looked her way, smiling lightly and taking her right hand. He lifted it to his face and looked at the ring for a while. Thank god it was a perfect fit. "Hmmm..." He started. He just had to try the name out aloud. "Mrs Noelle Walker..." It felt like he was going to pop with all those positive feelings welling up inside of him. He felt pride, joy, honor. There were too many to list on one page.
"I love you." He whispered softly against her velvety lips. "I always will."

Noelle couldn't believe this. In a matter of seconds, she found out she had a house, and now an amazing fiance. They were going to get married, have babies, and be together forever. Her high school sweetheart had finally asked her to marry him, and she was going to officially live with the guy. This was official, and she had never been so content in her entire life. And she thought she was happy the day she found him. Right now, she was just in so much shock; the fact that this had happened hadn't exactly settled in yet. But believe me. When it did, she was going to freak out.... In a good way, of course.

She looked around the house, and she let out a small squeal (after kissing Zander, of course). "Mm. I love you too. So, so, so much." After every 'so', she pressed a kiss to his perfect, soft lips, and when she was done kissing him, she ran her hands down his chest, and let out a shaky sigh. It was obvious she was having a hard time controlling herself at the moment; the temptation was too much.
Really, she couldn't wait to give this house her feminine touch. "This house... It's so beautiful. It's everything I've always wanted. Thank you, Zander." Her gaze shifted over to him, and she gazed at him with tender eyes, before putting her arms around his middle, and snuggling into his chest.

Their puppy love was totally obvious. They couldn't live without each other, and there was no denying it. Plus, they could hardly go five minutes without any sort of physical contact. Even in the middle of the night, if Noelle woke up, she would still be in Zander's arms, or at least tangled up against him in the sheets.
"Screw exploring. Babe, I can look at the house any time. It's not going anywhere. I want this moment to last... I want to remember it." Clearly that meant giving him probably the second best (next to their wedding night) sex he would ever get. Just then, she got the perfect idea for their first night in the house, and she took his hands. Well, she obviously wasn't going to use the idea yet. She was going to need champagne, candles, rose pedals, and bubble bath. "Hey, whaddya say we go for a swim? We can go in our undies. Or we can just not wear anything. I saw you eying the pool a little bit ago."

So without waiting for an answer, she took off her coat (she didn't know why she was wearing it; it was actually warm out), kicked off her heels, and placed her hands on her hips, before slipping out of her dress. "C'mon. It'll be fun. We don't even have neighbors... That's the great part about living in isolation." She absolutely hated holding herself back at night in the apartment in fear of waking the neighbors. Now they lived on a hill with no one right next to them.

He was content now that she loved the house. She said so herself, and unless she was a very good liar; he had done a good job. He felt pleased and somewhat proud. He had found her the perfect house, and now he was going to give her the perfect life in it. Zander was going to do everything in his power to make sure she was the happiest girl on earth. And the great thing about that was that Zander never would never stop. Once he started something he carried it through until the end. And to him; him and Noelle would never end. He had never been so in love in his life. In fact, he had never loved another woman other than Noelle. That was the truth.

He was a little taken aback, in a good way though, that she didn't seem to want to explore. He smiled, shrugging his shoulders. Of course she was right, she could look around some other time, it wasn't like the house was going anywhere. He kissed her jaw quickly as she mentioned the pool, stepping back to let her do what she wanted to. Hell, it was a very, very good idea. He admired her body as she slid so easily out of her dress. Noelle had one of the best figures he'd ever seen, and unfortunately, thanks to his band, he had seen a lot of streakers in his life. Or girls that were just too desperate. He shook his head as he pulled off his wifebeater and dropped it on the floor, unfastening his jeans and kicking off his vans as he did so, soon he was down to barely nothing.

In one quick movement he swept her up into his arms, using only one to support her carefully and using the other to touch her face, lift her chin up so he could kiss her lips softly. She was so small against his body. Fragile, he'd always look at her as fragile. No matter what happened he would treat her like glass. Zander had always and would always be gentle with her. Smiling, he opened the door again and escorted her out of it, closing it behind him. He didn't want it swinging in the wind or something and bugging him. He was planning on giving all his attention to Noelle now.

The feel of grass under his feet was nice. He actually hadn't felt it in ages. Sure, he'd felt sand, at the beach, and sand because it was the only thing he'd had in his apartment. Now everything had taken a turn for the better. The water wasn't as cold as he had expected it to be, but it was pleasant. His skin prickled a little, but as soon as the majority of his body was in the pool, it immediately felt refreshing. He lowered her too, letting her stand on her own. She whent way further down into the water than he did. Their height difference always made him grin. He bent down, kissing her again, with both his hands on her soft face. This was clearly going to be interesting.
